We are delighted to welcome artists from around Australia and the world to work and exhibit at CATE. We are pleased to announce that the following mentor artists will practice at CATE from January 2016:
Coco Latte – working in literature, art writing, sculpture and archaeology – (Coco is a superfiction alter ego of Gary James)
Paige Turner – working to establish the CATE library, as a sculptor and mentoring others in bibliotechnology – (Paige is a superfictional alter ego of Kerrie Garner)
Olivia Ukuta – working to establish the outdoor terrarium, and supporting the establishment of the organic food garden. Olivia Ukuta will also work with conservation groups to continue the re-vegetation of the coastal wetlands. (Olivia is a superfictional alter ego of Maddison Finlay)
Vesi Torni – working in sculpture, in collaboration with CATE’s glassworks and foundery teams. (Vesi is a superfictional alter ego of Helen Lyth)
Unterhemdt Veise (available from March 2016) – working in photography, and natural pigment printing. Veise is currently studying printmaking at Atelier Lacourière et Frélaut in Paris, and will become a principal printmaker at the CATE printmaking studio. (Unterhemdt Veise is a superfictional alter ego of Helen Lyth)
